TORONTO, ON / September 11, 2025 / The Forum Real Estate Income and Impact Fund (“REIIF” or the “Fund”) announces appointment of new independent Board Member.
Forum Asset Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Schauffert-Tam as new independent trustee of the Forum Real Estate Income and Impact Fund effective September 1, 2025.
Ms. Tam brings over 25 years of capital markets and financial strategy experience, most recently as Group Head and Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets. Her background includes leadership in capital management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate debt trading, syndication, and origination, spanning high yield to investment grade, private and public markets, and structured products. She is highly experienced in ESG strategy and financing, government finance, and has expertise in the infrastructure, utilities, and energy sectors. She has also served as Chair of the Board of CanIssue, guiding the organization through a major technological transformation. A passionate advocate for mentorship and inclusion, she co-chaired the Women of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Forum for nearly two decades, supporting the professional growth of women across the industry. Ms. Tam holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a BSc Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Ms. Tam is an independent director of the Brookfield Public Securities and Oaktree Capital Management Funds complexes where she is a member of the Audit and Governance Committees. She also is an independent trustee of FMS Capital Trust, part of the Forum platform through Make Space.
Her experience and insights will further strengthen the Fund’s governance and support its mission of delivering strong real estate income and impact outcomes.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Janice Madon, who is stepping down from the Board after years of dedicated service since the Fund’s inception. Ms. Madon has been an invaluable member of the Board, contributing her expertise, commitment, and hard work to the growth and success of the Fund. We thank her deeply for her many contributions.
